81 vw pick up truck

I bought a 1981 vw pick up today and is gas not a disel
1.7 liter 5 speed tranny almost rust free for $300.00
it even came with window sticker and dealer booklet
bought it from original owner it has a cap on back from day one
they were only made for 2 years
so I gess it is worth something?
any one know anything about vw pickups please let me know.
