My first Autox ruled!

I took first place! yeah right =) Anyway I had a lot of fun and learned
a lot about what an autocross really involves. I always thought it
would involve a lot more shifting and heel-toeing technique but once I
got it in 2nd all I had to do was brake, hit the gas, and turn. I must
saw it was a lot easier than I thought but we only got 3 runs which
kinda sucked. They didn't even have $1 runs! Not enough time. Well
now I know that I will be having a lot of fun with my 8v next year.
Does anyone know exactly what's involved in organizing an event like
this? I and my friends (especially Jay) want to start a car club around
here of some sort and autox's would be great locally. I also got some
great VW pics which hopefully didn't get ruined that I'l post once Jay
gets his scanner. Or I'll send them, to somewho does. Any takers?
One question though,
my friend had a 16v in Prepared Novice (he won his first race BTW) and
he has Tokico Illumina's, Neuspeed race springs, 22mm front anti-sway
bar and 28mm rear and a rear tie bar. His car was twisting an awful lot
and his rear tire lifted quite a bit. One of the guys there (Arthur
Emerson from r.a.m.vw.wc) told me that the front sway was doing this.
It kind of makes sense but wouldn't that warrant a bigger bar? Thanks
for any advice since I am planning almost the same setup
