CD Changer in my '82

I am looking at the Sony 10 stack CD changer for my '82. I have done the
measurements in the glove box, and it seems that the indentation at the back
of this otherwise roomy glove box is just a bit too restrictive to allow the
changer to fit. Questions:

1) Can this 'indentation' be hacked away at to make the changer fit?

2) Where the heck else is there in the interior that I can (securely) stick
a CD Changer?

With all of the Boxing Day Sales 'round here, it almost seems foolish not to
pick a stereo up (The Sony Combo that I'm looking at includes a 10disc
stacker, and a detach face cassette deck controller, 4x20w, for $368 CDN
(+/- $275US)

In the car right now is a Blaupunkt 'Nevada' stereo. Seems pretty good,
Dolby B/C NR on the tape deck, but the speakers are the shittiest. Does
anyone know how to set the time on this damn stereo? I haven't reset the
console clock, and the two of them are driving me buggy. Looks like the
console clock has been damaged by moisture or something, 'cuz much of the
time it reads 18:something... sigh...

Happy New Year!
