I have a Mk2 '85 8v I have up in Michigan that I hate to get rid of, hasn't ran for years, no time or ability to fix it, would much rather sell than send it to a junkyard. 4-2 exhaust manifold, 16v taillights, Motometer speedometer, Mk3 rims, decent to good interior pieces, uncut trunk cover, etc. Also have an '85 Audi Coupe GT that I'd let go with it if you wanted, ran before I left it sitting with the Scirocco, but was irritable about starting in the cold, hasn't been started since moving to Tennessee. I have an '87 8v with lots of upgrades and parts to go with it. I will not part out or sell parts separately! Car runs and drives fine. It has about 235,000 miles on original engine (2nd Odo died). I have a list of all things fixed since I bought it 11 years ago. I am the second owner. Head gasket done two years ago. ALL NEW coolant hoses and new heater valve w/ cable 1 year ago! New fuel pump (OEM bosch - NEW) and intake/exhaust gaskets done 5 months ago. Runs great! No leaks!! Slight click in steering wheel from bad bearing in column. I have the OEM part for replacement. Body in good shape but can use some work to make 100%. Titan Red Metallic. Rust only at right rear corner (see pics), pass door changed because of dent (now red), front hood and drivers side fender replaced because of small bump in corner (now silver). 16v kit attached. Tinted rear lens and euro front lights. Front right main beam 1 adjuster broke. Kamei front grill in great shape. Kamei upper front lip in new condition (not even mounted - VERY, VERY RARE). Door handles are Chinese rear Jetta (keyless) converted to front use (very rare). Things done to the car as follows: Neuspeed lowering springs with boge struts. Lower brace bar. All poly in front and rear. Old school upper front strut mounts with poly (VERY RARE!). Konig Heliums in good shape with Pirelli tires with 80% left. Custom 3" intake attached to lower air box with K&N filter. Neuspeed TB with shaved intake mani. Rapid Parts Blue Igniter wires. Clutch cable with "self adjuster" removed. 210mm HD clutch, flywheel and T.O. bearing (about 5 years ago) Short throw shifter kit with new parts and "cut" stick with OEM shifter handle. Parts of a TT 2 1/4" exhaust but muffler rusted out so "no name" SS muffler added (nice looking but a little loud for me). 16v brakes front and read disc converted with 22mm master with the CORRECT proportioning valves. 16v roof ant with new whip. Single wiper kit from 1982 MKII (VERY RARE) Added grounds under hood. Interior is in great shape. Black on black with a die black headliner. Black leather OEM rear seats and front door cards. Front seats are in "so-so" condition but are NOT OEM (Porsche style). Dash is black but has bad cracking. Dash has white dials (slight lifting - Thanks Rapid Parts ). Rare white face for climate and OEM white face VDO volt gauge. Trim painted Red. Power locks and power windows added (Not OEM). Tons of parts included that when added would make this car a great ride! Bearing for steering column, fuel pump case and bracket, rear beam poly mounts, new exhaust studs/copper nuts and gaskets, nice pair of new fogs (switch and wires already mounted), 1 extra euro high beam and 1 right euro CLEAR side marker (VERY RARE - drivers side got hit ), heater core (used) and new heater hoses, extra shifter rebuild parts, OEM door handles, extra pass side glass and trim, extra parts for the Dasher upper strut mounts (VERY, VERY RARE!!), Pass side under mount tray modded to fit Scirocco with AC (VERY VERY RARE), extra mirrors, headlights tail light, rear wiper, popper for rear hatch .... lots more extra bits and pieces!!!! Also have ALL books from car when new and ALL keys. Also has Prestige alarm with two remotes. side mount smoked blinkers, two sets of black floor mats and some "ricey" seat covers. OLD School Blaupunkt with changer and Monster cable RCAs. Polk db speakers and an old school Kenwood mini EQ. Sounded great when it was all hooked up! 1989 VW Scirocco 1.8L 5 speed manual transmission, power windows, power mirrors. I replaced the gas tank, rear brakes, spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, ignition wires, oxygen sensor, air and fuel filter, emergency brake lines, clutch. I have serviced the vehicle very regularly. The car has been lowered by 1.75", it has E-code headlights, factory smoked rear tail lights, 16v BBS body kit, oil temp, voltage, and vaccum/boost gauges. Many more upgrades done. Too much to list. Interior is in perfect condition, no tears on seats and all paneling is clean. Email for photos.

My car was a project for many years ... but now that I've got a 3 year old, I just don't have the time/money to invest any further ($6000+). * 2.0 16v engine (replaced original 8v, 1.8v) - 143 stock hp * Techtonics T304 stainless cat-back exhaust system * Dual downpipe * New SACHS clutch * 5 speed "close-ratio" trans * BOGE 2" lowering springs ... rides great, very racy handling * Power steering * Oversized radiator * All new brakes * Currently wears the "teardrop" 16v aluminum vw rims * Comes with all 4 original "tarantula" rims/tires * Body in decent condition, small dent above rear bumper * Some rust (typical) at rear wheel wells * Factory rubberized undercoating ... car is virtually rust-free * Alpine-white, but paint is faded. * Large Moonroof (hand-cranked) * Interior nearly flawless ... silver/black pinstripe velour * Factory recaro styled front seats * Battery is a Duralast Pro, 1 year old. * Alternator is 1 year old. * All sensors replaced, including O2 This car has a lot of work done to it, i'll say 80%. looking for information... I just bought a fairly clean 8v '87 with 121,000 miles for $500 because it seemed like a good deal despite having died in a parking lot. It will not start, turns over, but does not even pop. I suspect fuel pump, but have not towed to garage yet. Any common fuel pump issues? Oh, and does anyone know what the curb weight is, I don't have the user's manual...

WANTED! MkII Scirocco, 8v or 16v in good to excellent condition. Good or bad motor/transaxle, doesn't matter. Looking for a clean body/paint and clean interior. Have plenty of cash, no car is too expensive if it's nice. Shoot me some pictures and a price. Prefer local to sacramento, but will meet halfway. Looking for a nice car to compliment our 12 second all motor 8v Scirocco race car.
