OT: New edit of Blade Runner Released in NY and LA

Blade runner has been a favorite of mine since I saw it in the theater in '82. What grabbed me, besides the flying cars of course, was the overwhelming lushness of the setting. The old cars right along side the futuristic looking models (there shoulda been a Scirocco in there somewhere), the huge variety of clothing and architectural styles! The mixing of languages into "city speak". Then there were the fundamental philosophical questions the replicants were asking about who they were and why they had to die that we all ask at some point if we're at all thoughtful about our existence. All combined so completely with the story to make this a true classic in my opinion. I have the soundtrack on cassette and the movie on VHS. Both outdated technologies but they still work, kinda like Sciroccos!

And that's all I have to say about that. (Forest Gump)

  Cheers!
