Autotech upper stress bar

Looks to me like you have the wrong bar.
The picture you posted (which I'm assuming is the bar you have) is 
10.430.005K, which is for Mk1 Rabbits and Jettas.

10.430.008K is for Mk2 Scirocco 16v.

I know of a Mk1 Jetta for sale locally, if you REALLY want to use your bar.
