Quiet...

Been busy too. I've been working on my friend's Audi A4 some more. We took all of the old bodykit that we made for it and installed a new Seidl bumper, made some new side skirts from aluminum, made a new rear valence from aluminum, and added some other various custom twists here and there. He also got a new ATP manifold that I ported and mirror-polished, and a turbo-back GHL exhaust. Forge RS BOV, new wheel spacers, new gauge pod, etc. We've been working on it nearly a month now and we finished it up last weekend. We are having a boost leak situation now and we found the culprit last night- torn charge pipe. FYI, you can fabricate a usable boost leak tester by using 2 Mt. Dew cans. One empty with a hole drilled in the bottom of it and another without a hole. ;) This car already has a GT2X turbo and 550cc injectors with Mika tuning. After we get all of this squared away we are thinking it will be good for about 280-300 hp at around 25 psi.
Factory intercooler still, which will be hurting us, but that will probably get replaced in the spring. I have pics of everything but have not uploaded any of it yet.

Put new rear wheel bearings in my 16V and it's still a whiney little
 bastard!
Just completed and shipped yet another 02J bracket set.
So, now that's out of the way I can take apart yet another transmission
in the search for a perfect (well at least useable) ring and pinion.
Then I get to build up my 6th 020 of the year. This one with another
 Peloquin!
Then I only have three other weld, bead blast, powder coat projects and
then I can do something with the 84 turbo.
Got a new 3HP air compressor to replace my dying 2 Hp one. It's quiet
(in comparison) and, surprise, surprise, it can keep up with the bead
 blaster!
So, I've been quiet, but busy.

Very nice photo, as were the ones on the Vortex thread Marc! And
 everyone's
home now, right? Why is it STILL so quiet? I know Julie's sanding, but
where is everyone else?
