emblems (now refinished rims)

He he he... I am a wheel whore. The first step is admitting you have a
problem!
No, I've kept the teardrops. I'm refinishing them myself. When they're
done they'll probably look better than the RA's. However, the project is
taking forever - I think I started in June!
FWIW I've stripped the clearcoat off the wheels, sanded them with various
grit sandpaper, stoping with 800, and have gone in a few circles with
masking them and paint. The end result will be a silver wheel with black
teardrops.
The RA's on the Jetta now will become the winter wheels on the Scirocco
(It's ATS will go in the shed) and the teardrops will be the winter tires
for the Jetta.
I still have snowflakes with true dedicated (cheap) snow tires for the few
times a year we actually get snow.
So I just have one set of steelies to get rid of! They even come with tires
that have about 15k miles left in them!
And that's not counting the guest set of wheels I have in my garage awaiting
some sort of refinishing for Roger. Or the Corrado steelies in the shed...

As I said, the first step is admitting you have a problem.
