Will later fuel pump relays work in earlier cars?

What year is Lexan's car again?
There are a variety of relays. The early one with small contact blades and the fuse on the top, the later 8V relay with big contact blades and no fuse and the 16V relay with big blades that is just a relay since all the time-out smarts are in the 16V ECU and not in the relay. Also, some of the later 8V relays had rev limiters, some did not.
But, we need the year to figure out which.
