Vista, wireless networking, and printer sharing

No firewall is installed at all? No Symantec Internet Security or
nothing?

Can you ping your PC by name? I assume your router is your DHCP server.

How about \\192.168.1.2\printer map it by IP?

OK:

Old:
Printer used to be on the wife's old computer (Win98). USB printer
and we shared it with no problems.

Now:
Laptop: Windows Vista
My box: 2KPro (Who brought XP into this??)

File sharing is enabled on both computers.
The printer is a share on mine.
The printer's drivers are installed on both machines.

Both computers are in the same workgroup.
I can see wife's laptop from my computer.

>From wife's laptop, I can see her computer and the router. That's it.
When I try to enter in actual addresses on her end (ala:
\\computerName\printerName) I find nothing.

I WAS able to ping my box from her laptop.

Any other info that might be helpful?
