Back to basics. Why won;t my car crank over faster?

Measure how many volts at the battery posts AND at the starter terminals while you crank. This will tell you if you draw too much current for what the battery can provide.

How much resistance did you actually measure?

Something to think about, if you paid 30 buck for a multimeter it will not be acurate to measure just about anything below around 2 ohms.

Best to measure the voltage at the starter and at the battery, then you know how much voltage you lose across your wiring.

Am I repeating myself here? sheesh

Maybee the battery is not strong enough to provide all the juice.

Maybee the starter is about to die and is drawing too much current.

If you need electrical ideas, I am home tomorrow. Give me a ring and we'll think about something.

Cheers.
