Suspension talk

I'll paste in from a 7 year old post I saved from another Scirocco.org poster:

"I had Neuspeed Springs on my 82 8v rocco back in '92 and they were too springy and tight for daily driving. Currently, I have the Eibach Pro-Kit on my 87 16v rocco and the ride is much more smooth. Both the Neuspeed and Eibach work well in cornering, but I like the snappy feeling in the response of the Eibach's better. It seems they hit a certain point of compression and they really stiffen up. The Neuspeed seemed to be stiff at all times. Point being... I like the progression of the Eibach's better than the Neuspeed."

I like the way he described it, and I think I will be going with the Eibach Pro kit as well, probably with Bilstein shocks, that should make for a nice combo.

Subject: Suspension talk

Ok, so my Scirocco is getting new bilstein sports (to go with H&R
sports) and a suspension refresh kit this weekend.
There is a lot of interest in how the car behaves with the new equipment.
I'd like some tips on how to evaluate, and what to look for. The most
I can do now is to say 'I like how it drives, it's good in the
corners"
What sort of things should I be aware of? 'crashing over bumps'
'impact noise' those sort of things.
I'd like to be able to intelligently evaluate and discuss the changes.
Thanks!
