Help - Trying to get my Steering Column Out!



Black plastic bushing, right? 
You just pop it off with a large screwdriver, or visegrip. 

It's a bitch to get back on, though.

I got everthing loose except there is a Spring retaining clip that holds a
rubber bushing around the column tightly off the Brake/Clutch assembly.  The
Bently shows it on page 10-30 but does not explain how to release it or get
it off.  It is pinching the column enough that brute force can't pull it
out.  Who knows how to get that out of there?
