Semi-OT: (2.0) 16v bent valve diagnosis (results)

Wow! Those are some pretty bent valves!
How do the pistons look?
I'm wondering if the piston top got hammered enough to close up the top ring gap and perhaps seize the top ring into the groove?
If that was the case you wouldn't get much compression.
