sticky throttle

Disconnect the cable, and check the return springs on the throttle body, by
manually opening it to WOT.
Spraying the cable with WD-40, and then lithium spray might fix it, for now.

I have a new FEBI 16V Scirocco accelerator cable for $35 with shipping.

Subject: sticky throttle

ok so i just picked up another black 16v!! and it has a few things that
need addressed. first is the throttle, when the engine is pulling @ WOT in
first and second gear the throttle cable sticks, but as soon as the clutch
is depressed the throttle releases. now i checked the cable and it seems to
operate fine, and i dont see anything hindering its operation. could bad
motor mount be the culprit? im thinking while at full load this is when the
motor would move the most causing a "pinch" somewhere in the cable.

anyone have any experience with anything like this?

thanks
Breandan
