1988 16V .. no start. ideas?

yep, good points. However if I am missing ground at the fuel pump
relay....no reason to look for fuel at the cold start... I have pulled the
line off the cold start and with the f/p relay jumped out... fuel is getting
there. So where ever I am loosing ground is preventing the f/p relay from
doing its job and the ignition from lighting. Any other ideas?
thanks again,
shad
