What do you guys do with the Internet besides cars?

That is pretty ridiculous speed, I am sad. I am lucky to get 3 over my
wi-fi (200' away from a little 75 year old lady.) I've heard of places
in Europe that get 10 reliably. The fiber is all strung there but our
nation is too broad for real broadband.

I read the newspaper, too. My newspaper is known as The Red Star in
some circles but I don't read the columns or opinions just the news,
maam: http://www.startribune.com/

Years ago I would have read /. all about this but that phase has passed.
Mostly I find time to waste at: http://www.metafilter.com/
It is pretty left-leaning in the comments but even they get sick of
axgrinding politics. I don't post there but I like the variety. Could
be about fossils, or a dumb Flash game, and they have good moderation.
Here is their thread about this, some dumb jokes:

I didn't used to read politics but lately I can't help it. Normally I
go here: http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/ but I will check out
right-wing sites too. They seem to avoid the topics I am interested in
most of the time. You can send me a stainless steel pipe-bomb with a
wideband fart-sensor disguised as a car part if it really bothers you to
hear this and I will blow myself up eventually.

Where else is fun to me?

Sometimes I fire up the torrentmobile and get stuff but that is less
than once a week. The last thing I got was this album, is good:

Music is too overwhelming to me mostly to keep up on these days.
