OT - WTB: Old Road Bike

Haha. Actually the fixed-gear obsession is not too terribly different
from how I do cars! I've already got my hot carbon road bike (akin to
my BMW) but it's not something I want to beat on, leave chained to a
post at the grocery store, or have to bother with shoes and whatnot to
go to school.
Yet, in getting a "beater" I don't want a piece of junk. I'd love to
find an older bike that I can load up with nice components (Phil Wood,
Chris King, Velocity, etc) and have a lot of fun on, but without the
weight and complication of deraileurs and brakes and such. Sorta like
bolting $900 of wheels/tires to a $700 car - then adding coilovers,
P&P head, EFI (disclaimer: not installed) - but still painting it in
my garage - which I've done.

I've not decided if I want to go truely fixie yet. I'll probably get
a flip flop hub so I can change my mind later.

Peter,
I'm thinking even 22" would be too large for me. I meant to put in
the first mail that I'm looking for like 54cm. If it's still
assembled, do you think you could measure the standover heights on
them? (Ground to top bar) What do the reear dropouts look like?
What sort of condition are they in?
