Amplified Fuba antenna Q

I am wondering what should be hooked up to the Fuba's power lead.  Should I 
hook
up the amp remote(unused at this time) or is this just a signal and not 
constant
voltage?  Or, should I run switched 12V to it?  What have you all done?
