Oh, our Scirocco has been to Nationals every year since we first fired up the engine in 2003. And I'm embarrassed to say I technically mis-spoke when I said it will never have a title. Katie was the Street Modified Ladies SCCA National Champion in 2005. I was referring to an open-class National Championship, which the car is not likely to achieve. I managed 5th place in 2003 and 6th in 2006 in the open Street Modified class, and I'm proud of it, but except when it rains we've never been a serious threat for the win, and the competition keeps getting faster...

Neal, you and Katie are great drivers with a great car, and when I hear that other folks are scared when you show up that makes me flattered for knowing you two.
   
  I'm really surprised that the scirooco hasn't been to the SCCA Nationals, I know of very few individuals that have made it that far, but at the same time I heard that it costs alot of money for that one event.
   
  Keep it out of retirement, or atleast bring it to Cincy. I'm working with Crissy from NASA on ensuring there is another autox(like normal) in Kettering, OH(20mins away) this year. Last year was fun except all the curbs.

  I talked with the CVO Motorsports Director today and he said that your scirocco is VERY well known around these parts, pretty much everyone at Treffen fears you and your wife, taking 1st and 2nd place.
