OT: A little bedtime story from me



I can remember those being a problem when I was a VW parts guy.  Yes, we ordered them as many as the warehouse would let us order.  When a tech needed one, we just gave them the box and said "find one that works, and give us the ones that do not."  I can remember one time during the ignition coil fiasco, where we had allocated an entire shelf, probably 15 feet long and 10 feet high, stacked full of ignition coils.  :P

  Interesting Passats are not on there.  They failed nearly as often, and
the switch -looked- the same, although it was a different number.
