I thought the Saveiro was a re-badged Toyota T-100?

Also I think the Pointer was strictly based on the Ford Escort platform but no truck.

Either way it's all a bunch of weird crap that the USA never got.  Thank goodness too, the escorts of that generation were total she-it.  The rebadged Toyota would probably be ok.

They have them in Mexico but they are named Pointer.  They have 2 door and 4
door and a wagon model of the Pointer.  Reminds me of the Rabbit, it had 2
and 4 door models also plus the Caddy body style.
