Manifold tubes are plastic?!?

Thats an injector insert. It forms the seal between the intake manifold and the rubber O ring on the injector. They are fairly cheap IIRC and come out with an 11 mm allen key (yet another one use tool :)
Check the O ring on the injector. Is it there? Is it old & hard?
