slow list day....

...Dan Snow reporting in with the following action items in regards to
his fleet of VWs:

A) 9/1/06 - 1330 - Sportruck developed a faulty spark plug, however this
diagnosis was not made initially and the resulting diagnostic process
delayed the move from the previous base to a new one 45min away. The
problem was initially thought to be fuel related, thus the fuel filter &
pump were changed, the injectors checked for appropriate spray, coil
changed, plug wires procured and tested, finally resulting in the
conclusion of a bad plug of the #3 cylinder.

B) 9/7/06 - 1320 - Upon tanking up the diesel transport Scirocco and
returning from the completion of transacion, a (rather) large puddle of
diesel was observed from the rear of the vehicle, leaking from the
air-tube inlet hose at its junction with the upper-auxillary tank.
Aproximately 1/4 US gal of fuel evacuated the system both inside &
outside the vehicle, resulting in operator smelling like diesel.
Unfortunately for the operator, the necessary repair tools are stowed in
the Sportruck due to its propensity for failure at inopportune times.
Despite the fuel leak, the diesel transport Scirocco is still in service
and will be repaired as soon as time & tools allow.

C) ongoing... 16v Scirocco is still in storage awaiting planned
suspension upgrades and new tires along with some minor maintenance
items.

End transmission.
