Gas Tank Woes.

That OR your tank wasn't leaking at the time (1992) and the
recall was therefore closed on your car.  That's what
happened with my 16v, had it replaced a couple years ago.

Basically it's a safety item, and they have to replace it -
again - if necessary since it's leaking in the same spot.
