97-era 8v gti

I am going to have to disagree with you. I would take a MKIII again over a
newer Volkswagen anyday of the week. I also like the looks of them! 60/40
Drop, European Bumpers & European front lip are a must though!

That 98 Jetta GT was the best car I ever owned until I wrecked it! I had
that car for just over 3 years and only left me on the side of the road once
when the coil went. I bought that car used with 73K and when totaled it had
142K. The only problems I had beside the coil was I replaced the tranny &
clutch, clutch cable, drive axles and rear brakes.

The replacement to that car the 01 Wolfsburg Jetta is nothing but a pile of
shit! I owned it a year and a month and at 58k I already replaced the
waterpump, timing belt, coil packs, coolant temp sensor and the list
continues now because after my trip this weekend I can hear the wheel
bearings wining.
