Not making Cincy

Well, Julie, I didn't exactly assemble the whole car the night before. I'd been working on the turbo installation for a long time and just happened to complete it Friday morning. Then, of course, I had the "monstrous stupidity" ( I think that's how Anson phrased it!) to actually drive the car to Cincy. It made it (and blew the doors off your MK I ;^) but that doesn't mean there wasn't a whole lot wrong with it, which is why I haven't hardly driven it in the last year.
Anyway, this year I just got caught out by too many things to do and ran out of time.
I don't think I'll hitch a ride despite the kind offers. Dan without a Scirocco would be kind of like Dan without any clothes. And that wouldn't be good!
I'm sure you'll all have fun and it will be an excellent opportunity to say all sorts of nasty things about me ;^)
