Rear calipers (MKIV adaptor hoses)

David,

No, they are not like the MKIV stock lines. They cover the same 7 or 8 inch distance that the MK1 flexible lines do, but they end in the banjo fitting for the MKIV calipers instead of the flare end on the MK1 calipers. They route and fit well and I don't anticipate any leaks.

Are the lines that you use to hook up the MK4 calipers like the ones on
the MK4? In other words, are they bent steel lines and then a rubber
bit near the end? If so, I will stick with the Mk1 Calipers. The Mk4
lines are good about growing a leak between the rubber and steel...

David

Brian Haygood wrote:
> Re: MKIV rear brake caliper adaptors for MK1's
>
>
>
> Here is the e-mail I sent to the guy with the best price on them by far. I e-mailed and/or called almost every eurospec dealer. Shipping was $3.50 or something. The adaptor hoses are made by Eurospec and look to be really well done. Totally pleased. Braking bias doesn't appear to have changed appreciably on my 16v, and it is certainly something that could be tuned by making adjustments to the stock brake bias valves on the rear lines. Anyway, I didn't notice that there was a difference.
>
>
>
>
>
>
>
>
>> $44 set, In stock.
>>
