Same difference. Six of one, half a dozen of the other.

Oh, the list is LONG! This is OT enough as it is!

You just know the rest of the list want to join the North American Marc/k
Anti-Lanyard Association (NAMALA)! All the cool kids are doing it!

Genuine Scirocco Content:

As some of you know by now I'm taking an ?ber road trip next month of nearly
12,000 miles through the great white north to the even greater, whiter north
- Alaska and all the way up to Prudhoe Bay.

What spare parts should I take with me? I'll be driving a very reliable Mk2
8v that has all new breaks, 3 of 4 new wheel bearings, new axels, a good
clutch, and will have new belts and a new battery before I leave.

Here is my list of parts so far:

-An ample toolkit
-Two full sized spare tires, snow tires actually
-Clutch cable (I never leave home without a spare!)
-Spare belts
-Every hose spare
-5 gal Gas Can (one leg is 400 miles / 650 KM between services)
-German Oil Filter for a mid-way oil and filter change

What else? One of each bearing? An alternator? I can probably get a battery
anywhere. What could I not be able to get in the middle of nowhere for days
until it get shipped in?

Any advice would be appreciated. Once I know my route I'll post it on the
web somewhere.

Thanks!

-Marc
