The gathering of the clan

Okay, I caught my breath.
 First let me offer a big thank you to the yeagley's for their unusual 
hospitality to open their home and property to a bunch of crazy scirocco 
people who once a year descend on their home and make a mess.To 
Karen,Margaret,Ellen and others who prepared a feast and did all of the 
dirty work.Thank you! thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!
  As usual the master massager showed up at the last minute  laid hands on 
Rose and the mega squirt and once again saved the day.the Friday breakfast 
bunch was expecting him to show up.(We're a lot more fun than a broken 
AC?)as usual Dan was dispensing his knowledge to us wannabes.Dan, I can 
safely say thanks from all of us.
  Rose was a lady though  not perfect.after about 600 miles she decided to 
go on a starvation diet.Mixture was very lean and did not perform as I had 
expected.The trip mileage was very good at 35.6.One tank at 38.6 and 39.6 on 
another.That's scary lean for this old sidedraft carburetor boy.As Dan sez 
she just need more massaging.Do you suppose he would make a house call to 
Texas.you East coast boys need to share him.It was a trip to parts  shop and 
swap .Ogle  and stick your head under the hood of someone else's ride to 
take home ideas for ride.
  The lanyards were great and I think saved almost everyone the 
embarrassment  of not really knowing who you were talking to.The only 
problem was the lettering side was magnetic so lots of the time we managed 
to look at the back side which didn't have the nice little picture and name 
on it.Still it was a great addition to the party.I was nice to be able to 
put faces and names together.
  It was a lot of fun seeing people that I hadn't seen since last 
year.Swapping stories and generally having a great time.
Margaret's strawberry short cake was a fitting desert and oh so 
tasty.Deviled eggs by Ellen and Tonee.He was quality control "the master 
taster"
      I would propose that 07 be the Gathering of the Clan at Cincy
Thanks everone I had a grrrrrrrrrreat time and am looking forward to next 
year.Ideas and plans are already in the works.2000 plus miles gives a 
pearson a lot of planning time.
