OT: what I've been up to

I've been busy lately, not so much with my Scirocco but with everything
else. I'm currently working a second job with a guy who is doing custom
paint/body/whatever as well as performance upgrades, etc... and now,
apparently, we are getting into old German car restoration too. (just
happens that way...) we just finished doing a quick "freshening up" on a
REPLICA '57 Porsche 356 Speedster. Really crappy camera phone pics here:

It didnt run when he brought it in, and the floorboards were GONE. I did
most of the mechanical stuff, the other guys did the floors and
cleaning/polishing. Later this year, the owners are bringing it back to
us and we are going to probably pull the body off and get a new chassis,
as this one is pretty much unsalvageable at this point. All new paint and
interior, suspension, probably rebuild the engine, and add some fun stuff
like dual carbs and maybe a hotter cam. But now it runs pretty good and
it's a lot of fun to drive, gets lots of comments, that's for sure. We
will soon be taking delivery of a 65-ish Mercedes 190SL that has been
sitting for almost 10 years for a full-up restoration. Should be a fun
project, I've seen the car and it's really not that bad. Also, it will be
worth a LOT of money for me and the guys so that's more money for my
Scirocco! Also, the website for the company is up- I sort of threw it
together because we have a few banners up at the local drag strip-
http://www.evolindustries.com The ad-banner is going away this week. :P

On another note, I fired up the Camaro yesterday for the first time in
nearly 8 months. All it needs is a good cleaning and some "shakedown"
runs and then it's going in for a paint freshening, then I'm selling it,
for, that's right, MORE Scirocco goodies. >:) So expect fun things
happening for my car in the future- it won't even look like the same car
at Cincy next year!
