$45 for used 16v prop valves - thoughts?

Well, I just really don't know what to say. They could look good on the
outside and have a lot of crap and corruption on the inside. I don't know
how you'd tell other than to take them apart.
I don't have a problem with taking them apart, but as Cathy pointed out,
it's a brake part. Safety type part.
If you're comfortable taking them apart and inspecting then go for it.
If the rest of the brake system on the donor car was crap then these are
probably crap.
