IIRC where the A2 hub carriers bolt to the suspension strut is thicker
than the A1's.  The work-around for this was to remove a "layer" of
metal from the strut/spindle mount (of the strut)...  I'm going on
info that I remember from YEARS ago, so this'll require some
confirmation - anyone?

Yes, I think you are right.  Anyone truly interested in this, do a search
under my screen name (fahrvergnugen) and you will see the convo. I had with
WWR...  I think he mentioned it...
