Hatch seal question



Maybe it's too late and you don't need the info, but it's just a
friction fit. The seal has a steel insert throughout it's length that
has a "U" cross section. That provides the clamping force for it to
grip the flange.
Not that I haven't seen sealer there, it's just not needed.
