head/oil cooler update (argh!)



Yes... cut that thang with a hacksaw.
Long story short, I was sitting at BK drive thru when it started
overheating. Went directly to friends house, and initiated surgery. There
was no real change in performance when mine busted, and coolant was
obviously oily, so diagnosis was fairly easy. I just used a degreaser and
flushed everything about a bazillion times.
There is a guy near me selling the Volvo turbo oil coolers for $60-65, which
is what I am going to use. If you haven't looked at one, you should, as they
are just right, IMO. His Tex name is "the12for12", I think, memory is not
awake yet. HTH    Jeff
