OT - other vw content (purchase)

But I believe it's the same AAA engine.

If she wants the power, then yes buy it.

But at the same time a tdi has power and mpg.

The pita's on the a3/a4 vr's are the fuel lines(germany only), timing chains, coil packs. But coil packs have gone down in price over the years. I believe around 2-3 hundred now.

As long as it keep an eye on them, oil changes, etc, they are great to have.

Winter driving, get some really good tires, I learned that the hard way, almost completely flat driveway, and couldn't get in or out of the driveway with toyo proxies px4(all season).

Blake, The VR6's are fun, but you'll spend the same amount that you do on the scirocco as far as upkeep.

Just ask Ellen, her corrado vr6 sucked up $17+k in 5+years and she only drives it in the summer.

But stupid us, we're on our third vr.

The engines are pretty good, just everything else has to be replaced.

If you want a more detailed run down of the expense, mail me off-list.
