Re-keying door locks?



The easiest thing is to take it to a locksmith that knows (and enjoys)
German cars.  Or, the redneck way is to take out the tumbler (WITH THE KEY
IN IT), and carefully file down the wafers until they are all flush with the
cylinder.  Try it after the fact and make sure it works okay before
reinstallation...  (there is a small screw on the backside of the door
handle to remove the cylinder.  make note of how the spring is situated...)
