tail lights

I am sure this has been covered before... has anyone successfully 
disassembled the tail lenses from the housing? I destroyed a cracked one 
already, I have a set of phat all red ones that I busted the reverse lens 
on. I just need the clear piece.
 Also I am looking for a LEFT 16v tail as well
