Speaking of speedo's

OK, so I've made another embarassing blunder. The speedo gear for the 4.25 trans is RED, not white. I was thinking of the wrong part on the wrong shelf. Oops.

How about putting a short list together for the .org gears page. I'll start...

4.25 FD, Speedo Gear is red with 15 teeth. Pinion shaft has 7 teeth.

And just out of curiosity:

(Wheel RPM) * FD * (shaft teeth) / (speedo teeth) =

WRPM * 4.25 * 7 / 15 =

WRPM * 1.98 = Speedo Cable RPM

So the speedo cable spins roughly half as fast as the wheels.

I'm running on no sleep today, so that may be full of crap, too.
