Exhaust size

I understand that the performance exhausts are on the larger
side.  This should allow more air through the system and
usually gives a slightly louder sound as well.

I would go larger.

So if 2" is good, 3" is better?  Doesn't work quite that way Ed.  There are
some really good books out there on design of intake and exhaust systems -
they are great to read before dishing out advice.
