New rules for F Street Prepared now allow Scirocco's to use essentially
any A1-applied 8V.  The

While not a 2L / 16V, this'll be lots of fun. Ask me how I know....(Klaus'
"cam swap" is essentially an RD, Denny still doesn't know...)


Remember we are allowed NO engine/head mods except balancing and match
porting to a max. of 1"
into the port/manifold.  Intake and exhaust are free, though, so the AA
head with Digi-rail holes
is a big plus for my Megasquirt.

Interesting that you can't touch the head, but can manufacture a fuel
management system of your choice.

That one's easy. You build a straight line monster with a boosted 16V in
it. Or do like Anson and say "two please". That should consume more than enough time and money ;)

Seriously, keep us posted. At the moment, I'm thinking an 8V matches the
MkI best anyway, it just feels right, you know? Plus you have enough room
in the engine bay to cook something really large, what was the name of
that road trip cook book again? And at least when you build to the rules,
the rules don't change from year to year, unlike the stupidass import
racing we've been doing. NO idea what I'm doing this year, but it may be
something with cones. No worries, I'll maintian my dietary intake of rice
too.
