RE: Need advice badly on plug wire issue

I'd drill into it and hook it its only plastic. I wouldn't be concerned
about scuffing up the spark plug hole.
Is the primary cover diffiicult to remove?

Good luck.

Subject: SOT: Need advice badly on plug wire issue

Hi all - I was trying to change the plug wires on my M5 (a DOHC engine).
Plug wires shouldn't be _that_ hard to change, right?

Well - this is a new one to me. Check this out:

http://validpath.com/images/M5/brokewire.JPG

Yes - the receptable in the plug wire on the #2 cylinder completely
severed while I was trying to remove it! F*CK!

The rubber boot from the wire and the lower half of the receptacle are
still mated to the plug and is flush with the plug recess:

Should I:

A) try to tap a hole into the receptacle and get a screw in there? I
have a pointed punch that I can reach w/ it (barely)...
B) try to fuse the wire back to the receptacle with some epoxy?

I've already tried using long hemostats, but I can't get enough of a
grab...

Any suggestions?? :(
Thanks, jeff
