It's probably more rare than your '81 Mars Red. ;)

I've heard that all the late Scirocco autos were special orders.

The non rear wiper hatch is a good thing and somewhat rare, or hard to find.
The cassette holder was an option, and can be added to any S2 console.

I've been wondering about a couple of things on my 87 Scirocco. First it's
an auotmatic which i guess is rather uncommon. It also has a non wiper
hatch. I've never seen another mk2 with out a rear wiper. There is also
little gizmo that hold tapes right in front of the shifter. it has little
buttons you press and the tapes pop out. I haven't seen another like it .
I'm not concerned with the value of this stuff. Just wondering how common or
uncommon.
