I found this http://spuduglyracing.com/photo_album/Dashboard/index.html to
be quite effective in preventing dash cracks. If that however isn't quite
what you're looking for this is another alternative
http://www.9xauto.com/944.html , scroll down to "944 Dashboard Re-Facing
Solution" pretty unique and should work on the Scirocco as well.
