****Therein lies the problem:  it will take more than a simple, bolt on
device to permanetly correct this.  This motor mount thing was originally
designed to be inexpensive, and durability was apparently not a concern in
this late '70's design for an economy car.  Remember, this is a Rabbit
chassis....Rabbits were designed to a price point.....it is NOT a 2005 BMW.

Not to nitpick too much Larry, but the front end on the Scirocco is only
slightly similar to the Rabbit.  What's more is I have never seen nor heard
of any Rabbit having this trouble.  Methinks this problem came from Karmann,
and not Pennsyvania...
