Dark Blue Scirocco I's

For any of you old-timers like me, Jeff Fitzgerald's "Warhol" scirocco from 
European car started it's life as a dark blue rocco. Jeff went to the Warhol 
scheme after rolling the car & moving out to California with the car 
infested with tin worms.  He used to say that the car was simply making 
itself lighter as he was driving so that it could go faster!!!!

Haven't seen that car for several years now. He sold it to someone in 
Riverside who was going to use it for racing.  Jeff was living in San Diego 
up in the mountains but had his house burned down during the big fires there 
a year or two ago.  He was in the process of rebuilding last I talked to 
him.

'78 and '79's did, but I have a hard time imagining it could fade _that_
much!  :)
