Cap'n Oil Change Strikes (out) Again!

Well given that everyone seems to have the same words of wisdom here
and that I did:

1. Check for old gasket and wipe down surface.
2. Put new oil on new gasket.
and
3. Tighten by hand till it was VERY snug.

I am led to believe that I over did it.  Thankfully I have an extra
filter and oil sitting at hand.  I probably wouldn't have if it wasn't
for a Scirocco!
