Cap'n Oil Change Strikes (out) Again!

Make sure the seal is on the filter correctly and make sure the old seal
didn't stick to the filter mount. Two seals on top of each other just blows
one out.
Hand tight to "snug as a bug" should be good.

So I'm doing the change, get everything done, and start it up. Sounds
good. I back it off the ramps and then I hear gurgling spewing. I
immediately shut it off and go look. All the nice new oil is on the
floor of the garage. Kitty litter to the rescue!

I tightened the filter by hand. Did I not do it enough? I went till
it was snug as a bug. Did I over do it and fuck up the seal? Never
had this problem before and am wondering what I did wrong. I knew it
was going too well.

OT: Is there some chemical or biological reason why my nose itches 10
times more when my hands are covered in oil and I can't scratch it?
