16v cam timing?

Hi everyone,
I've been trying to get my 16v gti up to snuff & get
in on the road.  I needed to change a valve cover
gasket cause the old one was probably the original. 
While I was there I decided to install a set of TT
cams (thanks to Peter for the hookup on the cams). 
I've installed cams in 16v's before & never seemed to
have any trouble, but I had trouble setting the
intercam timing and when I was done the car would
barely start & would not rev up.  I assume I got the
intercam timing wrong.  

Does anyone have any tips or tricks for getting this
right?  I thought I was lining them up with the valve
cover, but maybe I got one a tooth off.
I guess I'll tear into it & try again,
