Re: Scammers Targeting Scirocco.org 'For Sale' Items

Internet scammers think all Americans are as stupid as they are.
Death is too good for them.

Subject: Scammers Targeting Scirocco.org 'For Sale' Items

I wanted to make everyone on the list aware that scammers have targeted
the Scirocco.org 'FOR SALE' page. They saw my advertisement for the
euro intake cam and decided to give a scam a try. After the second email
I became very suspicious. Their grammar and English were terrible; it
was basically one giant paragraph containing one run-on sentence. Next,
if you lived in Europe, why do you want a Euro intake cam? No banter
regarding cars, etc. Also, they said that they would make arrangements
with the shipper to pick up the cam, no need for mailing addresses. At
this one point I sent them a note asking if they really knew what they
were attempting to purchase. They said yes, of course. Today the final
scam offer arrived. They want to send me a check for $3,800 and for me
to take out the sale price and send back the balance. This scam has
been around a while so please beware!
BTW, anyone want to buy a cam? Rick. _______________________________________________
